Superintendent–South Butler School District

The South Butler County School District located in Butler County, Pennsylvania, is accepting applications for the position of Superintendent of Schools.  The Board is looking for candidates who possess effective leadership and team-building skills; both written and verbal communication skills; experience in the areas of curriculum, technology, student assessment and legal issues; a documented history of educational success; a work ethic which demonstrates a commitment to excellence; and, an abiding commitment to the success of the South Butler County School District.

Training and Consultation Coordinator/Academic Support– Allegheny Intermediate Unit

The Allegheny Intermediate Unit (AIU) is seeking candidates for a Training and Consultation Coordinator/Academic Support position within its Teaching and Learning Division. This position is accountable for providing leadership, professional development, technical assistance, and guidance in the interpretation and implementation of Federal and state general and special education policy and regulations to administrators, educators and parents regarding the implementation of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and in supporting the initiatives of the Bureau of Special Education. Focus is on building capacity to implement  academic supports in the areas of reading/math pedagogy, content, academic interventions, assessment, data analysis, progress monitoring, Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), implementation of PA Core Standards and facilitating the use of the Standards Aligned System (SAS). This position is also accountable for the supervision, development, management, monitoring and implementation of state initiatives and programs that support IDEA and providing corrective action for district programs as a result of state compliance monitoring (Bureau of Special Education). This position does not provide direct services to students and works to build knowledge and capacity of educators to improve academic outcomes for students with disabilities. The position also requires a close working relationship with PDE Bureau of Special Education and PATTAN staff in support of high priority initiatives.

A minimum of eight (8) years of related experience and an advanced degree in education or related field is required.  A working knowledge of related requirements in Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), IDEA and research based practices in education is also required, along with a strong academic background in math and/or reading content.  Trained in the Math Design Collaborative is preferred.

The AIU offers a competitive Salary Range:

Min. $72,836.53 Mid. $91,045.66 Max. $109,254.79 and an excellent benefits package.
