Assistant Superintendent for Secondary Education – North Allegheny School District
ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT FOR SECONDARY EDUCATION
North Allegheny School District, a large suburban district in the Pittsburgh region with over 8,500 students and 1100 employees, has a vacancy for a dynamic Assistant Superintendent for Secondary Education. This position has comprehensive oversight of North Allegheny’s secondary educational affairs and collaborates with administrators, staff, students, parents and the community, serves as an advisor to the Superintendent and is a key leader on the Superintendent’s Executive Council. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader, strategic thinker and effective communicator who is committed to excellence. The candidate must have sound knowledge of curriculum and instruction, awareness of educational trends, research and innovative practices, analytical skills and familiarity with strategic planning.
Experience as an Assistant Superintendent or Central Office Administrator, and as a Secondary Building Level Administrator, required. Doctorate Degree preferred. An advanced degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction or related area, required. Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility required.
Appointment effective July 2021. Full benefit package available. Salary is negotiable based on experience.
