Averting Targeted Violence in Schools: Building Relationships, Systems, and Literacy for K12 Threat Assessment Teams

Act 55 of 2022 requires Threat Assessment Team (TAT)  Members to receive annual group or individual training.  Under the provisions of this Act, the Tri-State Area School Study Council will provide a workshop to provide TAT Members an opportunity to deepen their understanding of issues related to averting targeted school violence.  In collaboration with the Southwestern PA Threat Assessment Hub Subject Matter Experts and Allegheny Intermediate Unit, this workshop will focus on the development of  K12 multidisciplinary team relationships across key stakeholder groups, the interconnectedness of violence and suicide, and the connection between perpetrators of violence and their victims within the school setting.
